When it comes to good health, there is a vast array of information online. The challenge of course is to filter that information and come up with your own overall plan of attack.
Taking care of yourself is really a holistic approach in my opinion. Taking a few nutritional supplements, but forgetting to take care of the other areas of your life is in my humble opinion a waste of time.
Remember, good nutrition starts with eating a well balanced diet consisting fruits and vegetables, getting some lean protein in your diet, ensuring you drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Lets not forget about getting that body of yours moving with some daily exercise. As well, make sure you get adequate amounts of sleep. As we age, they say we need less sleep. I find it really depends. Some days I am fine with 5 to 6 hours of sleep. While other times, I need to have 8 or 9 depending on what I did on that particular day.
I personally have found some good results with taking a few supplements and have had tangible benefits. For me, I have cut down on my caffeine intake and if you are like me, you probably need to supplement that with something else during those mid afternoon blues, when you suddenly feel like taking a power nap. I have found taking B12 supplement gives me a natural energy boost and it has no side effects. If you want to check out my post on B12 – Click Here to read more.
